Eastern style clothed or draped massage that can be performed on a floor mat or massage table. The therapist uses hands, elbows, knees and sometimes the feet to work on your “meridians” and muscles. Stretches are also incorporated in this healing massage to unblock your “Chi”; your inner energy. This massage helps you feel balanced and energized


 

Fingers, thumbs, knuckles, and elbows focus on the soft tissue by slowly applying firm pressure to a specific area. An actual “Trigger Point” is an area of hyper-irritability within soft tissue structures, characterized by local tenderness and sometimes referred phenomena. These referred sensations can include pain, tingling, numbness burning, or itching. Similar to deep tissue work.

I will assist and educate you on gentle stretches that will help lengthen your muscles to give your body a better range of motion. Stretching will help improve flexibility, reduce tension, prevent injury, and help relieve pain.


 

Heat is used to release chronic tension in your muscles (hot packs, hot damp cloths). Cold is used to reduce inflammation on acute injuries, while acting as a painkiller (ice massage, ice packs).
